Care of Environment at VIPS - Horticulture

Along with educational track record a visually pleasing campus plays an important part on how one might feel living inside the campus. It is said that looking at the beauty of the world is the first step of purifying the mind. At VIPS it indeed proves true for the faculty students and staff alike. The garden displays a variety of seasonal flowers and trees in a systematic landscape, ornamental horticulture, ground covers and ecological groupings. Every vacant corner of the campus has been planted with trees like Dates, Amaltas, Gulmohar, Ashoka. A variety of shrubs and creepers are planted along the boundary wall. Water and soil testing from Central Laboratory for Soil & Plant Analysis is done on regular basis. There are huge green spaces used for co curricular and extra- curricular activities.

The campus is visited by variety of species of birds and butterflies. Following truly the words of Mother Teresa, “ see how Nature – trees, flowers grass grows in silence…to be able to touch souls”, the college authorities invest a huge amount of sum every season each year for the upkeep of green lawns and horticulture at VIPS.
