An experimental physicist, has carried out his research in  Central Electro Chemical Research Institute, a National Institute under the umbrella of CSIR. His research interests are semi-conducting thin films and pulse plating techniques. He obtained hisPh.D from Madurai Kamaraj  University. He has published many research papers in reputed international journals like Elsevier, Springer, Taylor & Francis etc. He has also published a patent in The Patent Office Journal No. 33/2019.
Apart from teaching and carrying out research he is also deeply passionate in the task of Nation building. He served as a Company Commander in NCC for more than twelve years and many of his students serve in uniformed services in various capacities. He has organized many interstate cycle expeditions to educate the populace on health, community development and eradication of social evils. He was the Contingent Commander in National trekking and integration camps. He organized blood donation camps,basic leadership camps and was part in polio awareness programme. During his tenure as Company Commander he adopted a village for enhancing the knowledge and skills of village students and serve the community.
