VIPS Alumni Meet, 2019
To take a walk down the corridors of nostalgia, VIPS held its Alumni Meet on 14th December, 2019. The meet began with a welcome address by Director, Academics, Prof. Dr Shilpa Khatri Babbar who traced the journey of the institution from the year 2000. The Alumni were introduced to the Deans of all departments, Dean Students’ Welfare and Chief Operation Officer. A visual collage of memories, prepared by VSJMC, spread over 19 years was played. This was followed by a recitation of poetical memoires by Akshay Tyagi, Alumnus, VSJMC. This was followed by a Classical dance performance by Kunjam, Alumnus, VSLLS.
The evening witnessed the presence of more than 650 Alumni who were addressed by Chairperson, VSJMC and VSIT, Prof. Sidharth Mishra and Chairperson, VSLLS and VSES, Prof. Dr Venkata Rao, who welcomed the Alumni and addressed them as significant stakeholders. They urged them to maintain this spirit of interaction and interface with the institution at various levels. The alumni were requested to assist in recruitment and training process of the institute. This was followed by the address by Hon’ble Chairman, VIPS Dr. S. C. Vats, who expressed his extreme delight, especially in meeting erstwhile students from the first batches of BIS and Law. He blessed them all and assured them that the doors of VIPS would always be open for all of them for all collaborations and support activities. The Institute would be privileged to invite its Alumni to deliver lectures, participate in placement drives, conduct mentoring and training programs etc.
The formal ceremonious welcome of the Alumni came to an end with dance performances by Rameez, Kunal and Nancy, alumni from the Law department. The event closed with a vote of thanks to all Deans, faculty and staff members who had invested a lot of effort in inviting the Alumni and making the event a memorable success. The event ended with dinner and thanksgiving to all the alumni who spared their precious time to be there for their Alma Mater.
VSBS Alumni Meet, 2019
Alumni meet 2019 was organized on 9th November 2019 (Saturday) from 11:30 A.M. onwards in the Vivekananda Hall.
The event was graced by more than 280 esteemed alumni from the batches of 2015- 2019 collectively.
The event started with the traditional inauguration ceremony of lamp lighting by the dignitaries in the spirit of enhancing knowledge. The recital of ‘Saraswati Vandana’ added enthusiasm to the ambiance.
Dr. Indira Bhardwaj, Dean VSBS extended a very warm welcome to Dr. SC Vats and Prof. IM Pandey along with all the faculty members, alumni, and the students.
Dr. Bhardwaj invited Dr. Vats and Prof. Pandey on the podium to address the alumni with words of wisdom.
Dr. SC Vats, in his address, informed the alumni about the institute’s performance and proactive measures taken in recent times for the welfare of students and the institution.
Prof. Pandey, in his message, opined about the need for interaction and involvement of alumni in the overall development of the institute. He enlightened and encouraged the alumni to extend their support to students and the institute.
The inaugural session was followed by some cultural performances by the students of VSBS. Performances including welcome dance, singing, rapping, guitar performance and group dance were assisted by amusing anchoring by the students. A multimedia presentation displaying the cherishable moments of alumni during their time in college was also shown.
The event infused a concoction of emotions as the alumni were experiencing a wave of nostalgia and camaraderie. The hall was filled with the chirping voices recalling memories of good old days. The alumni meet was drawing to the close and all the alumni were given mementos.
Dr. Indira Bhardwaj, Dean VSBS proposed a vote of thanks expressing her sincere gratitude and appreciation. She thanked the alumni for taking out time to come for the event and making it a very special and memorable one. She also thanked all the members of the organizing team whose hard work and dedication made the event a grand success. Dr. Bhardwaj further concluded with the invitation to lunch in CIA Hall of A Block.
