Dr. Amit Channa
Dean – Vivekananda School of Journalism and Mass Communication

Trained in Video Film Production & Techniques from Technical Teachers’ Training institute (now NITTTR), Chandigarh. Dr. Amit Channa has more than 20 years of industry and teaching experience. He is doctorate in Mass Communication from Assam University. He has done his masters in Mass communication and History as well. He has also done Post Graduate Diploma in Electronic Media Management and Film Production. He has been an academic counsellor with IGNOU since 2005 for the courses related to mass communication. He has done certificate course in Film Appreciation and Videography from FTII, Pune and course of Art appreciation from National Museum, Delhi. Apart from this he is actively associated with Radio and various production houses as a presenter and editorial advisor. He has keen interest in theatre and research.He actively conducted and participated as a resource person in various workshops on electronic media production and digital film making for various institutions and organizations. He has also presented papers in national and international conferences and seminars.During his 13 years of association with Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies he works dedicatedily to create multi-tasking and multi-talented media professionals who can take the challenging job of being a journalist with confidence. He is round the clock ready to help them with any academic or professional assistance required. He aims to produce a new progeny of media professionals who can change the face of journalism in the country without compromising with their honesty and integrity. He awakens joy in creative expression and knowledge for his students and brings out best in them.

Prof. Anuradha Jain
Dean -Vivekananda School of Economics & Statutory Compliance and Inspections

Prof. Anuradha Jain, Dean, is a staunch academician with the perfect blend of interest in curricular and co-curricular activities. A scholar from University of Bombay, she has been dedicated to the teaching community for over 19 years. Prof. Jain is a fanatical economist with her areas of interest in International Trade and International Business. Prof. Jain has numerous research papers to her credit in diverse areas and has been chairing expert sessions in various national and international conferences. Recently she has been invited as a conference chairperson and keynote speaker at Oxford, London.
She is on the panel as an expert in Economics for selection board of various State Public Service Commissions. She also holds significant membership positions as Advisory Board Centre for Education Growth and Research; Indian Commerce Association (ICA) and International Association of Academicians & Research (INAAR). She also has the honor of being the Chairperson of Social Welfare Cell, Centre for Education Growth and Research. Prof. Jain is Honorary Advisory Member of International Association of Research & Development Organization. She has been instrumental in uplifting the rights of women as General Secretary, Women Division, International Jurist Council. She has been awarded Skiksha Gaurav Puraskar 2016 and Innovative leader award, 2017.

Prof. Charu Lata Singh
Dean – International Collaborations and Tie-up

Charu Lata Singh possesses around 20 years of industry and teaching experience with more than eight years of administrative experience, She has parallel qualifications in Political Science and Journalism and Mass Communication, She is a doctorate in Political Science from HP University with M Phil and NET in Journalism & Mass Communication. She was awarded JRF for the same. She specializes in Politics, Media Laws, Development Communication and Communication Research. She has presented papers in various International and National conferences seminars. Prof. Singh has three books to her credit along with various other publications in reputed Journals. She is resource person and consultative member to various universities. She is also member of Board of Studies of Apeejay Institute,Dwarka. She is a Life Member of various professional bodies.

Prof. Meenakshi Gandhi
Dean – Vivekananda School of Business Studies

Dr.Meenakshi Gandhi has a close to 20 years of academic work experience in the areas of Teaching, Training, Research, Institution building, Academic administration, faculty development, research enhancement &Program management.

A keen researcher, her interest areas are Entrepreneurship, Women leadership in Higher Education, Enhancing quality of higher education and employability skills. She is responsible for teaching entrepreneurship & strategy courses at postgraduate level, of which subjects include Enterprise Formation, Enterprise Development, Small Business Consulting and International Business Consulting. Her research interests include entrepreneurship education and growth in small firms. She has published six books and over 30 research papers in journals and presented her research work at various national and international conferences including IIM Ahmedabad, IIT Delhi, MDI, IMT Ghaziabad, AIMA and others. She is Ph.D thesis examiner for a few universities and served as the Session Chair for the International journal of Arts & sciences Conference held at Ryerson University, Toronto May 2013, 21st Century Academic forum at Harvard among others. She is a life member of the Delhi management Association, Commerce & management Association of India and on the review panel of various international and national journals.

Prof. Rashmi Salpekar
Dean, Vivekananda Law School

Dr. Rashmi Salpekar is Professor of Law. She is Ph.D. in International Law for which she received fellowship from Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), New Delhi. She is LL.M., Master of Human Rights and Duties (MHRDE) and M.A. in Sociology. She has eleven years of experience of teaching and research including experience of working as a Research Officer in Maharashtra State Human Rights Commission, Mumbai. She has specialisation in Public International Law, International Criminal Law, International Humanitarian Law, International Trade and Commercial Law, and Human Rights. She has been invited as a speaker in national conferences, seminars and international conferences including 15th International Symposium organised by Australian Institute of Victimology, Western Australia University along with World Society of Victimology (WSV) at Perth, Australia in July 2015 and 14th International Symposium of Victimology at The Hague, The Netherlands in May 2012 organised by International Institute of Victimology, Tilburg, Leuvens Institute of Criminology, Victim Support of Europe and WSV. She has published around 15 papers in various research journals, conference proceedings of national and international repute with one paper being included in an edited book also. She has been invited to judge moot court competitions including Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Competition and Henry Dunant Moot Court Competition. She has carried out an Empirical Research on “Rights of Farmers and Land Acquisition” funded by ICSSR, New Delhi. She is guiding Ph.D. Students and also guiding LL.M. and LL.B. students in their dissertations. She is a Life Member of Indian Society of International Law, Honorary Executive Member of All India Law Teachers Congress and a Member of World Society of Victimology (Special Category consultative status with the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the United Nations and the Council of Europe)

Prof. Shilpa Khatri Babbar
Dean, Students’ Welfare, External Relations and Protocol

Dr. Shilpa Khatri Babbar is a sociologist from Delhi School of Economics, Delhi University and has been teaching since past 18 years. She is a strong believer of the critical/radical pedagogy. She has international as well as national publications on the marginalized segments of the society. She is a Life Member, Indian Sociological Society; Member, World Lung Foundation – South Asia and Member, International Sociological Association. She works closely with NGOs (both international and national) as a crusader against addictive behavior (tobacco and drug abuse amongst the youth).

At VIPS, she is the Chairperson of ICC-SH; Faculty Convener, VIPS Magnum Concilium (MUN & YP); Faculty Convener, VIPS Cultural & Literary Society; Faculty Convener, Inter-Disciplinary Research Colloquium, VLS; Convener, Cultural Committee, VLS and Member, Mal-Practice Enquiry Committee.

Prof. Supriya Madan
Dean – Placements

Supriya Madan started her career in 1989 as a senior programmer and EDP manager of a reputed public limited finance company. Her unyielding passion for IT field propelled her in developing software for various organizations including export houses, hospitals and schools and with her expertise she was also engaged as consultant with automation companies. After gaining practical knowledge and successful completion of projects, her zeal and enthusiasm for teaching brought her into full time academics in the year 2000. In her quest for knowledge, she has actively participated in conferences and seminars. Her research work has been published in reputed national and international Journals and is also quoted as references. Dr. Supriya has versatile experience and is an erudite scholar in her own right. Her association with the field of Information Technology is a testimony of her fruitful and ongoing journey.

Prof. Vinay Kumar
Dean – Vivekananda School of Information Technology

Dr. Vinay Kumar did his Ph. D. from University of Delhi, and MCA from Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi. He worked as scientist in National Informatics Centre, GOI for 21 years before taking voluntary retirement from NIC in December, 2012. At that time, he was working in NIC as Scientist E & Technical Director. He has extensively contributed to knowledge arena through his book and research publications. He has authored a book of Discrete Mathematics, published by BPB. The second edition is published in January, 2015. He has also contributed a chapter in book published by IGI Global. USA. He has more than 60 research publications. Latest list of publications is available at. His areas of interest are Graph Theoretic Approach of algorithmic problem solving, Information Security & Privacy, Geographic Information System Data Modeling, Restricting Backtracking in NP problems, Digital watermarking of Spatial Data, and E-governance. He has supervised project works of over 100 students at MCA, M. Tech level. At present about eight scholars are pursuing Ph.D. under him from different Universities. Visit for detail.
